Rarely do I push my deadlines to the very last minute, but never did I expect a wave of illness to run rampant through our household. Luckily, we’re all on the mend and I can put this whole terrible experience with behind us. Regardless of what’s happening under our roof, I’m always determined to get my projects done on time! So today -literally fresh off my Janome not 20 minutes ago – is a lap quilt inspired by Pat Bravo‘s gorgeous new Heartland fabric collection and Scandinavian quilty works. Are you ready to see the big reveal? I thought you might be. Here we go..
Oh how I love this collection!! Silky smooth, gorgeous color palette, modern patterns..
Perfect for fall! Perfect for a lap quilt! Check out these patterns..
These owls have me memorized. Aren’t they adorable? I just had to showcase them at the top of the quilt. And that golden yellow owl?
To die for. I also keep thinking the owls would make a wonderful shawl for autumn! Knit sewing just might be in my near future ;-). Here are some close ups of my work..
I always loved a backlit shot of a quilt, so I thought you might enjoy one of mine ;-). Here’s hoping you loved my lap quilt.
Be sure to visit Jessica Elliston for her amazing make, also posting today. And come back tomorrow for Katie Skoog and Karen Foster projects! If you need a view of the line up, don’t forget Pat has it posted here!
As always I hope I’ve left you feeling inspired and ready to sew! Thank you’s going out to Pat, Wendy, and Art Gallery Fabrics for this wonderful opportunity, and thanks for stopping by everyone!
