Apple Farm Blog Hop

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog! Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to poke around. If your new to my blog, you can find links to my Instagram account and other social media under the About the Author tab above. Click, read, smile, follow- it’s that easy ;^).

Have you been following our blog hop? So many great creations and inspiration, by alot of wonderfully talented people. Today is my day for Elea Lutz‘s Apple Farm fabric blog hop. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have been chosen by Elea. I’ve loved her fabric for such a long time. So, when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at the chance to work with her new Penny Rose fabric collection. Have you seen it? Let me just show you..

It was so hard to choose specific prints since I loved each and every one. I’m also guilty of fabric hoarding (who isn’t), making it that much more difficult. Going with my instincts proved to be the best choice in the end. Before I knew it, TaDa! Speedy delivery! My pretty little stack arrived at the front door..

Ack! So much adorable, right? Apples, bears, florals, plaids, and the colors? Good grief. Elea did such a great job designing this line. They immediately made the wheels start spinning. Before to long I had an image, next came the sketches, then measurements, templates, test patterns, details.. You name it, I did it. Ready to see??

Do you like it? It’s a massive wall organizer for all my sewing tools. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 20″x26″.

With a big move coming then, and knowing my working area would be limited, I thought something cute, inspiring, and practical was in order. I needed a single space that made it easy to grab and use my everyday tools.

Pincushion, a wool felt page, pockets..

I’m particularly proud of these pleated pockets, with a little hand-stitched cotton lace..

Something I could place near my sewing machine and that wouldn’t take up any table or floor space. Did I mention it’s on a copper swivel hook? One made specificity for me by my DH? Check this out..

Oh this yummy yellow fabric!

So cute, and so much funner than my usual solid linen picks for everyday items. Did you notice it’s double sided to hold my acrylic rulers and cutting mats? Yess, I think cute and practical have been accomplished! I have to say, when a sweet friend offers to send over her new line of fabric. It’s not hard find inspiration.

I certainly hope I’ve inspired a few of you, and really hope you’ve decided to take the plung. There are just so many things you can incorporate these fabrics into. If you need more inspiration, follow my blog via email to see what’s coming up next. I promise you’ll want to be here! If blogs aren’t your thing, click on over to my IG account and follow me there. Up next for our Apple Farm Blog Hop are Megan Price and Amanda Niederhauser. Hop over there tomorrow to see what they made!

  1. Veronica!! Ohhh wow!! Your organizer is amazing! It’s full of so many handy and lovely details. That pincushion, the lace, the copper hook, and that little birdie tag (so many sweet details). Eeeeeks!! What creativity and so much to use it for! Wonderful idea! Thank you so much for joining me on the hop today, sharing your project – and for the kind words. xx

  2. This is so adorable and amazingly creative! I really love it and now I want to make one for myself, as I have limited space for all my sewing essentials. I love all the sweet little touches of lace and buttons, precious little tags. Very nice!
